Home Schooling
If students do not meet the criteria for enrolment in distance education, parents may wish to consider home schooling.
Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care
Disability Services is an important part of ADHC that can organise vital services for students with disabilities. A case manager is appointed who can arrange for a needs assessment. Services include respite, speech therapy and occupational therapy.
Centrelink
Students with disabilities enrolled at the DESU may be eligible for a variety of benefits from Centrelink such as the Isolated Childrens Allowance. Students may also be eligible for the Disability Support Pension, Education Supplement and Mobility Allowance when they turn 16 yrs.
